Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q: What kind of footage does SUPERCOLORS work with?
A: SUPERCOLORS is designed specifically for Apple Log & Apple Log 2 footage, available on iPhone 15, 16, 17 Pro models. If you’re working with regular video clips (Rec.709), check out my Day Star LUT instead. I use this LUT for Sony Slog3 as well, and the result is good too!
Q: Why doesn’t my footage look exactly like the preview?
A: The final result depends on your lighting, time of day, location, white balance, and exposure settings. LUTs are a starting point, feel free to adjust intensity, white balance, or contrast to match your mood.
Q: Can I use these LUTs on my phone?
A: Yes! You can preview the look while filming in the Blackmagic Camera app (iOS). For basic mobile editing, you can also apply the LUTs in VN Editor, but the quality may be limited compared to desktop software.
Q: What if Final Cut Pro adds its own LUT automatically?
A: That happens!
Go to the Info Inspector > Extended > Camera LUT, and set it to None to avoid LUT stacking.
Q: How do I save/import the LUTs on my computer or phone?
A: On desktop: Use the Custom LUT effect in your editor and import the .cube file.
On iPhone: Save the files in your Files app, then import into Blackmagic Camera app or VN Editor.
Q: Can I get a refund if it doesn’t work for me?
A: Since this is a digital product, all sales are final and non-refundable. But if you run into issues, feel free to reach out — I’m happy to help! contact@jazziefilms.com
